Talai - An offbeat Location Near Shimla in Mashobra

Talai is one of the best offbeat locations for low-budget travelers or those who lack time due to colleges, jobs, etc. Mashobra is located 12 km away from Shimla. Mashobra is wholly covered with Trees.

From the Mashobra, hardly there is a track of 3 km, which is not so Hard. But the whole way is covered with Dense Forest. You will have a great silence there. We all are bored of horns, music, and unwanted sound in cities. So we need a place where we can hear our heartbeat too. Talai is that kind of Offbeat Location. And the beauty is thrilling. You can't take off your eyes from anywhere. Not so many people know about Talai. Because most of the Travellers move out for Kufri, Naldhere, etc. No doubt they are such a beautiful location. Because the Complete Himachal is like a Heaven. But Some sites are covered with so many tourists; some don't. Likewise, Some of us want an Adventuring place; some want a peaceful, beautiful location. 

After a track of 3 km, there is a Temple of Goddess Devi and a Beautiful Park. Where you can sit and enjoy nature. But I would like you to enjoy every single moment during your tracking too. 

There is also Craignano Nature Park. But I haven't been there. So you can ask locals. They are very friendly and helpful in nature.

How to Get There

You can get there by taxi, but they are very costly, even from 800 to 1000 Rs. So I would suggest you take a bus from the local bus stand in Shimla, known as Lakkar Bazar Bus Stand. From the Bus, you have to pay approx 25 Rs only. 

Timing

The Bus is available from morning 6 a.m to Evening 6 p.m; from both sides.

Stay

You can stay in Mashobra if you want and go ahead in Naldhere or Kufri. Otherwise, you can complete Mashobra all locations in 1 day so you can come to Shimla again.
